The WAVE is available with three different blade assemblies:
Short Blade Assembly < 150 lbs – This version provides the easiest setup and great maneuverability for players less than 150 lbs.
Short Blade Assembly > 150 lbs – This version provides the easiest setup and great maneuverability
Long Blade Assembly – This version is harder to “dial in” but once properly configured is faster than our shorter blades and is very maneuverable.
With the short blade <150 lbs option, the WAVE configuration can be as light as 8.5 pounds.
The Wave “riser” system provides a solid rigid structure to lift the player up to 7.9 inches from the bottom of the bucket to the ice; which is the maximum height allowed by the IPC.
Make sure to use the Wave Measuring Guide when selecting your bucket width. We offer a 12 inch, 14 inch, 16 inch, and 18 inch, bucket for the Wave. Each bucket includes a thermal barrier bottom back and two hip pads. This thermal barrier material is ½ inch thick.
Pull nylon strapping with cam buckles along with a ratchet ankle strap are standard. If you have problems staying positioned in your sled, we recommend the ratchet strap upgrade.
Make sure to select the proper length nose. Safety is always a concern and so we want to make sure you have the minimum amount of tube length necessary as this will limit the amount of exposed tube under the bucket. We always recommend, once a player has been fitted, cut off any exposed tubing beyond 5 inches of the rear adjusters.
